Description:

Al Rayyan Road Project P07 is a major expressway connecting the Dukhan Highway to the west and Doha City to the east. This project extends from west of New Rayyan roundabout to east of Bani Hajer roundabout, and comprises the construction and upgrade of 2.9 km of four lanes in each direction separated by a central median, in addition to 1.5 km of side roads, and associated service roads (approximately 5.8 km).
Seero had its contract with Sixco-Boom JV to conduct the Temporary Traffic Management Plan and the traffic analysis study of the road safety audit.

Scope:

Our scope was to evaluate and assess the adequacy of relocating Al Rayyan junction as part of the Temporary Traffic Diversion Design of Al Rayyan Road. The study includes the Diversion Geometry design, the Road Profiles and settings of the traffic signal layout.

Moreover, Road Safety Audit (RSA) has also been conducted for this project at day and night. The Audit was undertaken by an independent RSA Team and was conducted on 3 phases. Problems were found related to Vulnerable Road Users, Signage & Road Marking, Vehicle Restraint Systems, Cross Sections, Junctions and Intersections…etc., and associated recommendations and solutions have been provided.
